Starting Your Christian Journey

"...I come that they might have life and life more abundantly" - John 10:10

Our Purpose, here at CMWC, is to equip believers with "the power of Christ", which resides in all of us. As true believers, if we only ask for it, we can enjoy the fruits of a true Christian life. It is equally important that we become actively connected with the teachings of the Bible in a faith-based church. Here at CMWC, we guide our church family through sound Bible Doctrine, for Doctrine received, believed and practiced determines a person's character, behavior , and destiny.

We are truly excited for you as you embark upon your
Christian life journey.

Whether you are a new Christian or you are seeking a renewal in Christianity, we are here to help guide you in your path towards spiritual connection and life fulfillment in Jesus Christ.

What We Believe

We believe that in Jesus Christ dwelleth all the fullness of the Godhead bodily; for it please the Father that in Him should all the fullness dwell.

Colossians 2:9; Colossians 1:9

We believe in the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ; that He ascended on high and has sent His Spirit, the Holy Ghost, which was poured out on the Day of Pentecost in Jerusalem, 33 A.D., and is still filling the hearts of those who diligently seek Him today.

Acts 2:1-4

We believe in water baptism by immersion, in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ  for the remission of sins, and the baptism of the Holy Spirit, speaking in other tongues as the Spirit gives utterance.

Acts 2:4, 39; 8:18-18; 9:13-17; 10:44-46; 19: 5-6

The Complete Plan of Salvation

St. John 3:5 and Acts 2:38

Step 1. Believe

Believe that the Bible is the inspired, infallible Word of God. Jesus is God manifested in the flesh; was bord of a virgin; suffered and was crucified for the remission of the world's sins; died on the cross but on the third day, He rose from the dead holding all power in His hands.

2 Timothy 2: 16-17; 2 Peter 1:20-21

1 Timothy 3:16

Step 2. Repent

Repentance is an honest confession of your sins to God, truly being sorry for your sins and making the decision to forsake all sin and live a life obedient to God. True repentance will also move you to correct or make right any wrong you have done as best as you can.

Step 3. Be Baptized

Water Baptism by total immersion in water, in the name of Jesus Christ symbolizes the death and resurrection of Christ; you die to your old way of life and rise to your new way of life.

Why should we be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ?

Christian history began on the Day of Pentecost, A.D. 33 when the Apostle Peter preached the first message and was asked...what shall we do?

His reply:

"Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost." Acts 2:14-38

"Therefore we are buried with Him by baptism into death: that like as Christ raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life."

Romans 6:4

Step 4. Receive the gift of the Holy Ghost

We understand that the Holy Ghost is a gift from God.  The Holy Ghost empowers us with all we need to. live the victorious life Jesus Christ sacrificed His life for us to have. Speaking in other tongues as the Spirit gives utterance is the initial evidence of receiving the gift of the Holy Ghost.

Acts 2:1-4; 8:15-17; 10:44-48; 19:5-6
